Managing organic waste and composting – options, best practices and opportunities for Manitoba communities
Finding ways to better manage organic waste remains both a challenge and an opportunity for most Manitoba communities. Join us for this MARR webinar to get up to date information on what opportunities are available to Manitoba communities.
This webinar will also feature a presentation from Dr. John Paul of Transform Compost Systems. Dr. Paul has been involved in planning and designing cost effective composting systems across Canada for over 30 years. Dr. Paul coauthored the Compost Facility Operator Manual continues to teach an advanced Compost Course. Join us for this unique opportunity to gain practical advice and insights from one of Canada’s most experienced compost and organic waste management systems designers.

2023 Spring Tour & Annual General Meeting (Morden/Winkler)
Price: $70 per person for MARR members; $100 per person for non-members
This year’s Spring Tour/Event & Annual General Meeting is going to be a tour-a-palooza! The AGM and lunch will be held at the Morden Access Event Centre (111-D Gilmour St, Morden, Manitoba) but the most practical learning opportunity will take place out of your seats. Participants will be organized into small groups and each group will tour four(!) different sites in the Morden/Winkler area through the day including:

DRAFT Itinerary for April 20, 2023:
Exact timing and logistics are being finalized and will be sent to registrants before the event but generally participants will be organized into small groups and will be instructed to move between the sites as follows:
~9:30 – 11:45am – each group attends two site tours
~12pm – 1:45pm – all groups meet back at Morden Access Event Centre for lunch and AGM
~2:15pm – 4:30pm – each group attends two site tours
*Due to the nature of the tours, we will be capping registrations to this event
