Did you or any of your colleagues miss the 2021 MARR Manitoba Community Recycling & Waste Reduction Forum? Well, here’s your chance to catch up!

During the planning and registrations leading up to the 2021 MARR Forum, we received a number of queries as to whether MARR would be live streaming the event online or offering some other option for “virtual” attendance. Livestreaming was not technically or financially feasible so we committed to organizing a “replay” of select portions of the Forum Agenda based on the availability and interest of presenters.

We’ve now confirmed the availability of our presenters and we invite you to join us for two webinars:

Webinar 1 – Tuesday, December 7, 2021 from 9:30am to ~11:30am.

Presenters may include:

  • Greetings from Minister of Conservation & Climate Sarah Guillemard (playback of recording)
  • “The Future of Recycling and Waste Diversion within a Circular Economy Framework” – Mike Fernandes
  • Manitoba Waste Diversion and Recycling Framework Review – Outcomes, Consultant Recommendations & Next Steps – Jennifer Chambers, Manitoba Conservation & Climate
  • Update on Canada’s proposed strategy for addressing plastic waste and pollution – Tracey Spack, Environment and Climate Change Canada (playback of recording)

Webinar 2 – Tuesday, December 14, 2021 from 9:30am to ~12:30pm.

  • Green For Life (GFL) Winnipeg Material Recovery Facility & Manitoba Operations – Steven Heard

  • EFS Plastics: Creating Value from Plastic Recyclables – Arjun Krishna
